Q: What happens during my stay?

A: There is a page [here] where you can see the general schedule of a typical day at tagiru., so please check the page.

Q: Can I receive authentic Panchakarma?

A: “Panchakarma”, which is the most authentic body cleaning, is recommended for those who stay for about 2 weeks. On the other hand, we also offer cleaning services that are tailored to individual’s physical condition and circumstances for guests with shorter stays.

A: Each guest room has a shower and toilet but no bathtub.

Q: Is there Wifi at the facility?

A. Yes, Wi-Fi is available and sufficient for regular browsing and communication.

However, for heavy usage such as video conferencing, we recommend purchasing a 4G-compatible local SIM card at the airport, as internet stability may vary depending on national infrastructure. Please refrain from high-volume video downloads as this may affect other guests.

Q: Can I work during my stay?

A: We recommend digital detox during your Ayurvedic treatments. That said, you may choose to work during your free time.

If you need to schedule meetings, we may be able to adjust your treatment times upon prior request (not always possible). Please consult with the doctor before engaging in intense mental work immediately after strong treatments.

Q: Can I purchase items necessary for my stay locally?

A: Yes. Depending on the item, we will provide or sell the items you need during your stay.

Q. Is there laundry service?

Q: I have a food allergy. Can you arrange the meals for that?

A: We would appreciate it if you could let us know when you make a reservation. We will respond individually.

Q. Can I go out during my stay?

A. While short outings are possible, we recommend spending your stay primarily inside the hotel to focus on healing.

For longer stays (2+ weeks), we can arrange half-day tours, such as to Galle (UNESCO site) or sunrise boat trips. Nearby, within a 15-minute tuk-tuk ride, you’ll find supermarkets, Ayurveda pharmacies, a turtle conservation project, temples, and Geoffrey Bawa architecture (Cinnamon Bentota beach hotel).

Q. Can I bring my own food or eat outside?

A. All meals are an essential part of your Ayurvedic treatment and are provided under the doctor’s guidance. We ask that you do not bring your own food or eat outside, as it may disrupt your treatment and dosha balance.

Q. How do guests usually spend their free time?

A. Besides treatment sessions (4 times/day) and meals, you are free to relax. Many guests enjoy reading, journaling, or strolling the beach depending on the day’s treatment schedule.

Q. What if my period overlaps with the stay?

A. Ideally, it’s best to avoid overlap. However, if your period starts during your stay, it’s not a big problem.

Some intense abdominal or purgative treatments will be paused while bleeding is heavy, but this is only a small part of the program. Treatments will be adjusted based on your condition in consultation with the doctor.

Q. Are there mosquitoes?

A. Our beachfront location generally has fewer mosquitoes, but you may encounter some in inland areas or during dawn/dusk. We provide herbal mosquito repellent, but it is mild. For stronger protection, we recommend bringing your own DEET based repellent from your country.

Q, Should I bring my regular medications?

A. Yes, please bring any prescribed medications. During your consultation, the doctor will help you decide whether to continue them during your stay. For supplements or vitamins taken at your own discretion, we leave that decision up to you.
